Using Your Patient Portal

The secure, private patient portal makes it easy for you to manage your care at Wendell Psychiatry. Here's a quick guide to help you understand how it works.

1. Booking and Managing Appointments

You can book, reschedule, or cancel appointments right from the portal.

  • To Book a new appointment:

    • Click “BOOK” at the top right of the dashboard

    • New patients - Click “New Patient” to schedule your initial evaluation

    • Existing patients - Click “Existing Patient” to schedule a follow up

      • Choose the service duration you need

        • 20mins (Routine follow up, slight changes expected)

        • 40mins (40min follow up; significant updates/changes needed)

    • You’ll see availability on the calendar from 1 week to 6 months out

      • Each day will show the available time slots

    • Click your desired day and time

    • Confirm request

    • All appointment requests are tentative until approved

  • To Cancel or Reschedule:

    • Click “BOOK” at the top right of the dashboard

    • Click “Manage Appointments”

    • Click “Reschedule” or “Cancel”

    • Reschedule will bring you to the same scheduling process detailed above

    • Cancel will request a reason for cancellation - (Please note our cancellation policy)

This is the fastest way to handle appointments. No need to call or wait for a response.

2. Secure Messaging

You can send secure messages to your provider directly through the portal.

  • Go to the Messages section.

  • Type your message in the box at the bottom of the screen

  • This is a great way to ask questions about your care or medications, request refills, or follow up after a visit.

  • You can also upload and send files

This is the fastest way to contact us. Portal messages are prioritized over phone calls. Please expect 1-3 business days for responses as we screen messages for urgency. We try to align medication refills with your next follow up appointment, but expect 3 business days for medication refills requested through the patient portal.

All communication stays confidential and part of your medical record.

3. Invoices and Payments

You can view and pay your invoices online.

  • Go to the Invoices section to see a list of any past or outstanding bills.

  • You can securely pay using a debit or credit card.

  • Receipts are automatically saved for your records.

If you have any billing questions, feel free to send a message through the portal.

4. Forms and Documents

You'll complete intake forms and sign documents right in the portal.

  • Before your first visit, we’ll send you the necessary forms to complete.

  • Any new forms (like annual updates or releases of information) will also show up here when needed.

You’ll get an email notification when a new form is available.

5. Account Info

Keep your information up to date:

  • You can update your address, phone number, and insurance info under Profile.

  • Make sure your email stays current. That’s how you’ll receive appointment reminders and important messages.
